THE WRITERS QUIBBLE #7
Here's November guys!
Better late than never! We'd like to say thankyou to the old faces and to the young, who've contributed to this spine-chilling 'Horror edition'.
Also a special welcome to our two new trialists; Laurelle McKenzie and Claire Miller.
Anyway, enough dilly-dallying, here it is.

Whoops!
Apologies to Andrew Krska for an error on his piece 'Halls of Glory'. The paragraph at the bottom of page 13 should read;
A torn piece of cloth stretched over a pedestal, illuminated by an overhead light. It was an insignia; black ‘A’ against a field of red; the insignia of Alpha-Man. Howard took his hat off and pressed it to his chest. Around the edges were grey with ash and dotted with blood. Howard heard a familiar voice behind him. “You know he has a grave, right?”
Apologies also to Natalie Hill. Her poem 'Time' is missing from the contents page.

THE WRITER'S QUIBBLE #6
Here we are at last, the September edition, albeit a week late! There are several reasons for the delay, though the main one seems to be the challenging nature of the theme; Origins. However, despite this minor setback, this edition reveals some of our best submissions yet, so we're sure you'll enjoy it as much as we have.
Special thanks to the our contributors and the editorial team including our newest edition, up and coming poet; Tom O'Connor.
We hope you have fun reading The Quibble, please check out the polls and leave some feedback in the comment section.
Cheers.
- Ashton

THE WRITER'S QUIBBLE #5
Where am I? What happened last night? Argh, who the heck is this next to me?
Sigh, at least the fifth edition of The Writer's Quibble is finally available, featuring fantastic illustrations from Hannah Smith and lots of 'Intoxication' themed prose and poetry.
Ooo, looks like there's even some Gonzo Journalism in here.
The people who submit to the Quibble surely are a spiffing collective!

THE WRITER'S QUIBBLE #4
Well, here it is, edition four!!!!!
We've been particularly excited about this edition as it contains illustrations from University of Derby graduate and generally magnificient up-and-coming artistic force; Jodie Wynne!!!
On top of this introduction, we'd also like to highlight the sheer number of contributions we've had from students not on the Creative Writing course.
This is exactly the reaction we were hoping for! TheWriter's Quibble's goal is to provide a platform for any UoD student who desires to get their creative work published and 'out there'!
Thanks to all who contributed! Much love! Hope you enjoy it!

So Quibble scribblers, sharpen your pencils, shuffle your pages and prepare for a tickety-boo English Summer...buy a good jacket.

What our game is...
We are a new student magazine based at the University of Derby, publishing a variety of creativity, ranging from prose and poetry to book reviews and points of view.
Furthermore, without blowing our own trumpet (parp parp), we are a great opportunity for new writers to get some work 'published'.
Consult this blog for the upcoming March edition, who's theme will be 'New Beginnings/Spring'.
